A tax-smart way to make a lasting impact. Gifts of appreciated securities may provide additional tax benefits while supporting Kirby’s mission.
If you are considering selling stock in order to donate to Kirby... DON'T! Donate the stock directly to Kirby instead. By donating appreciated stock, you can (1) avoid capital gains taxes and (2) receive a charitable deduction for the full market value of the stock.
