History

Kirby School was established in 1994 to offer academic challenge to motivated students regardless of economic circumstances. We offer an independent, non-sectarian college prep education to 6th through 12th grade students in the delightful Bay Area community of Santa Cruz, California.

Kirby School was founded on the belief that a learning environment where students feel respected and appreciated will motivate and bolster enthusiasm for learning and encourage scholastic achievement at the highest levels.

In 2019, Kirby School celebrated its 25th anniversary of service to the Santa Cruz community, renewing its commitment to providing a world-class education.
