History

Kirby School was established in 1994 to offer academic challenge to motivated students regardless of economic circumstances. We offer an independent, non-sectarian college prep education to 6th through 12th grade students in the delightful Bay Area community of Santa Cruz, California. 

Kirby School was founded on the belief that student who are respected and encouraged will exhibit a greater enthusiasm for learning and achieve at their highest levels.

In 2019, Kirby School celebrates its 25th anniversary of service to the Santa Cruz community and renews its commitment to providing a world-class education.
