Level One: American Sign Language
The course will be taught by Cabrillo College ASL teacher, Mo Moscovitz. The course, equivalent to Level One ASL at Cabrillo College, is primarily offered for high school students, but others in the Community are welcome to enroll.
Tuition: $1200 ($950 for Kirby Families)

Beach Clean-up at Natural Bridges

Natural Bridges State Beach in Santa Cruz
Georgiana Bruce Kirby Preparatory School is leading a beach clean-up at Natural Bridges State Beach on Sunday, May 22nd. The clean-up is student-led and organized, and Santa Cruz community members are encouraged to show their support by joining the students in their efforts. Help us work to keep this local treasure clean and prevent trash and debris from entering the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. Pick-up equipment will be provided, but volunteers are also welcome to bring their own gloves, buckets and reusable bags. For more information on the event, please call (831) 423-0658×310.

Cyber Safety expert Lori Getz provides resources for parents and teachers to talk with children about Cyber Security and navigating the Internet safely and securely. Ms. Getz is the founder and director of Cyber Education Consultants (www.yourcec.org) in Los Angeles and has developed a Cyber Education curriculum for schools throughout California. Admission is free.
Evening Seminar: Enrichment Programs for Gifted Students

Parents with an interest in gifted and talented programs are encouraged to attend this free informational meeting. A representative from the John Hopkins Center for Talented Youth will present information about testing and the enrichment programs for gifted children in grades 2 through 8.
